Gale Rye died suddenly Tuesday evening, Nov.10, at the Municipal Hospital. Forest City, from a brain tumor.
He was born Nov.18,1912, at Fertile, the son of Lewis Rye and Caroline(Jacobson Halverson) Rye. He was a veteran of Worl War II serving in France and Germany.
He was presently employed by the Pinkerton Guard Service at the Winnebago Plant in Forest City.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother
Surviving are his mother, Caroline Rye,Fertile; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Mabel) Paulson, Roswell, N.M.; Mrs. Gordon(Anna May) Methus, Northwood; three brothers, William Halvorson, Hutchison, Minn. Corlys Rye and Norman Rye Fertile.
