Shirley Gladys Rainey, 78 of Baker, Died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Port Jefferson, Long Island N.Y. on May 3, 1930.

She has lived in the area for the past 8 years and was a member of the Pyron Chapel Baptist Church in Baker.

Survivors include her husband Otis Rainey of Baker, sons Owen L. Rainey of Baker, and William J. Cady of San Antonio, TX, daughters Cathy L. Heckman of Converse, TX, Carla J. Padilla of Valparaiso, FL and Susan E. Jordan of Century, FL. (15) grandchildren, and (16) great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Pyron Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00a.m. with Dr. Jerry Haley officiating.

Burial will be in the Pyron Chapel Cemetery with Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to the Leukemia Society, of St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
