Mrs. George W. Yeckel Jr.
Mrs. Carmel Yeckel, 47, of 194 W. LaClede Ave., died of a heart ailment at 10 a.m. Sunday at her residence following an illness of one week.
Mrs. Yeckel was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Frances Garbarino Timpano. She had been employed as a bookkeeper with Kirchbaum Florists and Beltone Hearing Service. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, the Altar Guild, the Mahoning-Shenango Kennel Club, and the Youngstown All-Breed, Training and Obedience Club and the Youngstown Organ Club.
Mrs. Yeckel leaves her husband, George W. Jr., to whom she married in 1949.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Weller Funeral Home.

Vindicator is in error. Carmel's father was Frank La Belle. Her stepfather was John Timpano not Frank. Mother's name was Francis. At one time in her life Carmel was a singer in New York by the name of "Chickie LaBelle"
