Blanche is the daughter of Ellis C. Sly and Mary E. Smith. In 1900 the family was living in Seattle, King, WA, and possibly, this is where she was born. In 1919 or 1920 Blanche graduated from the University of Washington where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She married Homer Truett Bone at the Delta Chi Sorority house in Seattle, King, WA on 25 Jan 1919. They lived in Tacoma, Pierce, WA. Homer was a US Senator in 1933-1944. They had one son, Homer Truett Bone, Jr.
