William M. Biggerstaff, 81, at retired barber, died at 11:45 this morning in Coffeyville Memorial Hospital. He had been a medical patient there since Aug. 29.
Funeral arrangements, under direction of the Skinner Funeral Home, are incomplete.
Bigggerstaff leaves his wife, Bertha E., who operates a beuty shop at their home, 412 Maple; a son, Bill of Shawnee, Kas.; son-in-law, Russell Good, Mission, Kas.; a sister, Mrs. J.D. Markwith, Oakland, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His daughter, Opal Good, died five years ago.
Biggerstaff was born Nov. 25, 1877, in Missouri. He had lived in Coffeyville over 60 years and was a longtime barber here, operating shops of his own. He interrupted his barbering career for a few years to work at the Sinclair Refinery. He retired from barbering four years ago.
