Mary Ann Jane ("Jennie") Delawter daughter of George Washington ("Old Wash") and Elizabeth (Bussard) Delawter married John of W. Brown son of Wilhelm (William) and Anna
Elizabeth Burhman. She died 11 August 1858 of cholera shortly before the death of John of W. Brown. They resided in a log house on land adjoining the Mount Moriah Lutheran Church at Foxville, Frederick County, MD.
They had children:
(1.) Susan Phoebe Ann Brown b. 14July 1839 - 3 February 1903 wed 1 January 1861 to Washington Johnson, son of William and Susannah (Harbaugh) Johnston, removed to Texas.
(2.) Ketruah Brown b. 17 February 1841-d. 16 May 1845
(3.) Ruhannah Brown b. 28 November 1842-27 Dec 1848.
(4.) Ignatius Brown b. 18 November 1844- d. 28 November 1901 married 4 November 1869 Annie Dickie. They removed to Cleveland Tennessee.
(5.) Calvin J. Brown b. 4 July 1848-died 31 August 1926 married Victoria Stocks removed to South Carolina.
(6.) Mary Ellen Brown b. 15 January 1847, wed 10 April 1871 John Aaron son of William and Susannah (Harbaugh) Johnston and a brother of Washington Johnston, who married Mary Ellen's sister Susan Phoebe Ann Brown.
(7.) Charles William Junius Brown born 2 August 1849, died 15 August 1876 removed Pittsburgh, PA.
(8.) Erias Washington Brown, married Anna Kuyler, removed to Fort Wayne, Ind.

(11) Hannah Sophia Brown b. 10 February 1856-d. 2 June 1938 married James Madison Benchoff son of John Myers Benchoff and Elizabeth Anderson.
