Funeral services for John B.
Davis, 68, of 517 Woodvale Avenue,
whose death occurred yesterday
in Memorial Hospital, will be
held at the Gocher Funeral Home,
Vine Street, at 3 o'clock (DST)
Friday afternoon. Rev. George W.
Nicely, D. D., pastor of First
Lutheran Church, will officiate,
with burial to be in Grandview
Cemetery. The remains may be
viewed at the Gocher home.
Mr. Davis was born near Akron,
O., on August 5, 1872, a son of Mr.
and Mrs. David Davis, both
natives of Wales. He came to Johnstown
about 45 years ago and
worked for many years at the
Industrial Collieries Corporation as
a miner.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs.
Catherine Louise (Shultz) Davis,
one brother and three sisters -
Evan Davis, Brisbin, Clearfield
County; Mrs. Richard Bennett, 110
Marion Place, and Mrs. Charlotte
Malcolm and Mrs. William Crago,
both of 75 Baumer Street.
