Dan Reuben Carter, 80, passed away on March 23, 2012 in Payson, Utah.

Dan was born on January 15, 1932 to Reuben and Marinda Carter in Spring Lake, Utah. He attended school in Spring Lake and Payson, graduating from Payson High School in 1951.

He enlisted in the Army in 1952 and fought in the Korean War.

Dan worked in construction and as a painter in several large cabinet shops.

He was a member of the LDS church.

Dan is survived by his children: Kelly (Karen), Keith (Carmie), Keenan (Chris) and Danette (Casey). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bill (Jeanine), Mac (Michael Gay) and Curtis (Jeri) and sisters, Verna Taylor, Iona Spainhower, and Cathlene Caras.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin, 2 grandchildren, brother Grove, and sister Rowene.

He loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and watching old movies.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Lake LDS chapel, 12625 South Spring Lake Road, Spring Lake, Utah. A visitation will be held from 9:45 til 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
