DIED
ERSKINE—Mrs. Sarah C. Erskine, aged 88 years, in this city Sunday at the residence of her son-in-law Mr. James H. Mastin. Burial services Tuesday, Rev. J. H. Bryson, officiating. The Times Huntsville correspondent says of the deceased:
"She was the daughter of Col. Albert Russell, an officer of renown in the revolutionary army, and has resided here since her childhood. In 1820 she married Dr. Alexander Erskine, a noted physician. Her life was spent in doing good and her pure Christian efforts and sincere works, stands forth as a shining example. She leaves a very large connection, who, with the entire community, deeply mourn her loss."
