Foster D. Binkley, age 78, passed away Friday, October 6, 2000, at The Toledo Hospital after a brief illness. He was a resident of Sun City Center, Florida. He was born in Toledo to Samuel and Margaret (Wenzel) Binkley. He was a graduate of DeVilbliss High School and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. After service he graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in chemical engineering and a masters degree in industrial management. He was employed for 32 years by Doehler-Jarvis, first as plant metallurgist in Toledo and then as plant manager in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Chicago, Illinois.

He married Grace Romire in 1950 and she predeceased him in 1992. Also predeceased by his parents, sister, Bernice Peugeot, and brother Howard Binkley. He is survived by his wife, Georgia, and by brothers, Dr. Robert Binkley (Virginia) of Toledo and William Binkley of Perrysburg.

Visitation will be Monday from 3-8p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to charity of the donor's choice.

His obituary was published in the Toledo Blade on October 8, 2000, in Section A on Page 23 in Column 3.
