Helen (Nowik) Scotillo 88 of New Britain died on Saturday, January 07, 2012 at the Charlotte Hungerord Hospital in Torrington. She was a native and lifelong resident of New Britain. Helen attended local schools and was a member of St. Josephs Church. She was formerly employed by the Garden house Restaurant.
Helen was the daughter of the late John and Michalina (Olechniewicz) Nowik and the widow of Charles Scotillo. She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Carol O'Connell and her husband, Jim of Winsted; Donna McAllister and her husband, Ken of Unionville and Barbara Dunn and her husband, Rich of Arizona. She leaves a brother Stanley Nowik of Newington, She is also survived by eight beloved grandchildren and five great grand children who where her pride and joy. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Judith Belliveau and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain (directions, exit 37 off I-84, take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right.. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
