George Farragut Newton, aged 57, son of the late George and Celestia Loyall Newton, died at the residence of his son, Joseph Paul Newton, Lynnhaven Inlet, Princess Anne County, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Newton was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B.P.O.E., and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Naughton Newton; one son, Joseph Paul Newton, of Princess Anne County and three sisters, Mrs. George L. Arps, of Norfolk; Mrs. N.A. McCurdy, of Princess Anne County and Miss Augusta Newton, of Norfolk. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
