FAMILY SEARCH. When Ray Gilbert Dedrickson was born on 14 August 1922, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah, his father, Gilbert Braithwaite Dedrickson, was 23 and his mother, Alberta Larsen, was 23. He married Lois Jones on 23 June 1947, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. He lived in Spanish Fork Election Precinct in 1940. He registered for military service in 1942. He died on 9 November 2000, in Provo, Utah, Utah at the age of 78 and was buried in Spanish Fork.

SPANISH FORK. Ray Gilbert Dedrickson, 78, of Spanish Fork, passed away at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center on Thursday, November 9, 2000. He was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, on August 14 1922, to Alberta Larsen and Gilbert Braithwaite Dedrickson. He married Lois Jones on June 23, 1947, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ray grew up in Spanish Fork and served in the European Theater in WWII. Ray was active in the LDS Church serving in scouting, Young Men's, Elder's Quorum, Sunday School, as Ward Clerk and 1st Counselor in the Bishopric. At age 16, he worked with his grandfather as a guide at the old original Strawberry camp. In 1959, he built his own cabin in Bryant's Fork in Strawberry where he loved to hunt and fish with his children and grandchildren. He was a jack-of-all trades building and fixing and repairing thing. He loved photography and spent many hours taking pictures of family and friends. Ray is survived by his wife Lois; two daughters, and son. Ray is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild and a brother, Dan Dedrickson. Funeral services held Monday, November 13, 2000 at Spanish Fork 1st Ward Chapel, 310 E. Center Street. Burial was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery with military rites by the Spanish Fork American Legion Post # 68.
