Frank Woolson Darling strongly resembled his famous brother, Jay Norwood Darling. He attended Grinnell College, taught biology in high school and Chicago University Teachers College. For four years he was president of the National Amusement Association, and eventually was involved in building and operation of amusement park rides. He was jovial, inventive, and energetic, but was a poor manager of his resources, and an equally poor judge of women. He had two unsuccessful marriages. He died in October, 1952 and was buried at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.
