James Thomas Hutchen was born in Paducah, KY; he married Lillian McMahan on July 4, 1891. They made their home in Paducah and had two children; Ira Lee Hutchen b. Sept 10, 1895 and Alma H Hutchen b. Sept 26, 1900. James worked for the IC Railroad as a blacksmith. I do not have definite information on his parents, although research points to Henry Hutchen and Levisa Griffen.
