Ralph H. Anderson, 75, of 98 N. Main St., a steel worker for 43 years for the former Whitinsville Machine Works before retiring in 1978, died yesterday at Fogarty Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mildred (Arnold) Anderson.

Born in Whitinsville, Mass., a son of the late David and Agnes (Johnson) Anderson, he lived in Slatersville most of his life.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson observed their 50th wedding anniversary in June.

He was a member of the Slatersville Congregational Church, the LeClaire-Koslik-Logan Bassett Post, VFW, Forestdale, the Royal Travelers, and served as a constable in North Smithfield for the past 25 years. He was also a member of the Limerock Lodge of Masons. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Besides his wife he leaves a brother, Kenneth Anderson of Whitinsville.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be in Slatersville Cemetery.
