James Stephen Donaldson, 55, of 9 Vega Drive, quality control chief at Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation, Ashton, died Tuesday in Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Louise P. (Tylutki) Donaldson.

Born in North Smithfield, he lived in Woonsocket about 25 years until 1972, and at one time was in a National Guard unit there. He was a son of the late Stephen G. and Louise M. (Dalsgard) Donaldson.

Survivors, besides his wife, are two sisters, Mrs. Helen Zifcak of Elyria, Ohio, and Mrs. Mildred Blumenfield of Naperville, Ill.

The funeral will be held Saturday in Woonsocket at 8 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in Holy Family Church, South Main Street.
