James Cody, 69, Chicago, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 6:30 tonight at Carey African Methodist Episcopalian Church, Chicago.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Gamble Funeral Home here, with burial to follow in Cave Spring Cemetery.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., he was born Oct. 13, 1923, son of the late Meadly Cody. He was a retired postal worker.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Love Cody; a stepson, James Eskridge, Chicago; a brother, Glen Dawson, Atlanta; and a grandchild.
