DELMAR Robert K. Decker, 89, died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late William T. and Beatrice A. Budd Decker. Mr. Decker was an Army veteran of World War II having served with Ordinance Department at Shaef Headquarters in the European Theatre. He obtained the rank of Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a salesman for the former Wholesale Service Supply Corp. and the former Superior Supply Hardware Co. He retired in 1980. Mr. Decker was a member of the Noah Lodge #754 Cyprus Temple in Albany and was a 33rd Degree Mason. He was also a member of the Third Reformed Church, the VFW Oppenheim Post #1019 and the American Legion Blanchard Post #1030. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Helderberg Senior Golf League.
Husband of Marjorie Ratner Decker; father of Curtis L. Decker of Washington, D.C. and Ronald C. (Sandra) Decker of Friendswood, Texas; brother of the late Lillian D. Kendall. Also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
