DR. H. M. LEFEVRE DIES AFTER ILLNESS
Dr. H. M. LeFevre, 79, well-known Shelbyville physician, died at his home here Saturday morning. He had been in poor health for the past two years, becoming seriously ill about a week ago.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Shelbyville Baptist Church with the Rev. Tully Achord officiating, assisted by the Rev. T. E. Spurling. Masonic rites were also given at the church. Burial was in the local I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Dr. LeFevre was born July 13, 1872 near Belle. He graduated from medical school at Louisville, Ky., and practiced at Belle from 1898 until 1921, and at Aud from 1921 to 1925.
In January 1925 he moved to Shelbyville after purchasing the practice of Dr. H. S. Maupin.
On April 2, 1899 he married Miss Lulu Agee who died March 24, 1948. On April 12, 1949 he married a childhood friend, Miss Ethel Moore, of Linn, who survives.
In addition to the widow, Dr. LeFevre is survived by five sons and one daughter of the first marriage, Buell, of Shelbyville, Everett, of Paris, Earl of Mound City, Ill., Boyd, of Troy, Russell, of Washington D. C., Mrs. T. C. Smith, of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Hanks, of Wamego, Kan., and Mrs. Jerry Bacon, of Bland.
