Mr. Harold Paul Abercrombie, 79, of 306 Due West Circle, husband of Barbara Jenkinson Abercrombie, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at his home.

Born August 13, 1932 at Alice Mill Village, he was a son of the late Paul and Olive Parsons Abercrombie. Mr. Abercrombie was a graduate of Easley High School and a US Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired in 1994 from Alice Manufacturing with 46 years of service and was a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church. He was a longtime Clemson Tiger fan and very proud of his family.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his children, Andy Abercrombie (Katie) of Winter Park, FL, Kathy Smith (Skip) of Easley, and Don Abercrombie (April) of Clinton, TN; sister, Dot Henderson; brothers, JC Abercrombie and Dale Abercrombie; grandchildren, Ashley Baird, Alicia Bray, Michael Abercrombie, Andrew Abercrombie, Lauren Smith, Aaron Smith, Kassie Abercrombie, Paul Abercrombie, Karen Abercrombie, and Daniel Abercrombie; great-grandchildren, Avery Merriman, Chole Bray and Christian Baird.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Jet Stevens, Ruth Rice and Jenny Thomas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2012 at St. Matthias Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM Thursday prior to the service at the church.

The family is at the home.
