Steinbrock, Christina
Delphos Republican
January 11, 1918
It is with sincere regret we announce the death of this esteemed lady who passed away at their residence, this city, Jan. 4th, 1918. Christina Snyder was born at New Orleans, Louisiana May 16, 1855. At the age of one year she moved with her parents to Burlington, Iowa. Here eleven years were spent when she went to Alton, Ill., Jan. 15, 1872, she was united in marriage to Bernard Steinbrock. For nine years they continued to make their home in Illinois, and in 1881 they came west to Kansas making their home on a farm south-west of town. After her husband's death in 1895, Mrs. Steinbrock moved to town. Sixteen years ago her health gave way and for the last seven years she has been an invalid. She leaves to mourn her loss: Henry, William, Francis, Edward, sons; Louisa, Nora, Mrs. Jas. Fleshman, Mrs. H. Garrison, daughters; Mrs. Geo. Laing, Mrs. Mary Wheaton, sisters; Henry and Edward Snyder, brothers. She was preceded by her daughter, Mrs. Anna Haggart, who died nine years ago, as also two children who died in infancy. May she rest in peace.
