Ruth S. Trost, 92, Wichita, formerly of Huscher, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at Via Christie Hospital in Wichita.
She was born on February 8, 1911, at Ames, KS, to Cyrus Webster Magaw and Emma Henrietta Biery. She attended and graduated from Pleasant Valley District 21 in 1927 and graduated from Concordia High School in 1931.
She married Albert Trost on March 14, 1934 at Huscher, KS. He died November 11, 1955. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the farm. She was a member of the Huscher United Methodist Church and later was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Concordia. She moved to Wichita in 1998 to be closer to her daughter.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Trost of Wichita, Lucille Hathcock of Tolleson, AZ, and Sonja Kimmal of Emporia, KS; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
The funeral was at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Cooper officiating; burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials to the American Heart Association, Leukemia Society or donors choice.
