Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Downtown Youngstown for Glenna L. Davies, 88, of Austintown who passed away Sunday evening at her home. Glenna was born July 15, 1923 in Campbell, Ohio the daughter of Brady and Jessie (Brookhart) Wigal. She was a graduate of The Rayen School and had worked for H.M. Banning M.D. as a medical assistant for 30 years retiring in 1986. Glenna was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was in the choir, Mar Sing Sunday School, and Quilters. She was also a member of the United Methodist Woman's Club, the Spoof Club, and the CBI Veterans Auxiliary. Glenna's hobbies included knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, reading and traveling. Her husband Benjamin J. Davies, whom she married July 6, 1945, passed away May 17, 2001. Glenna leaves one daughter, Wilma (Ray) Daley with whom she made her home, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Daley of Austintown, and a twin sister, Wanda Newman of Capac, MI. Besides her parents and husband, Glenna was preceded in death by one brother Harlan "Pete" Wigal.
