Sadly, no one ever carved Emily or her husband's death date onto the headstone. I am very happy that the WPA had it listed.

Mrs. Emma Culbertson, widow of Aaron Culbertson, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at her home, 538 North Sheridan Avenue. She was 68 years old. Her husband preceded her in death two years ago.
She is survived by her niece, Mrs. Myrtle Mack, with whom she lived, also six other nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J.W. McKee of the Davis Street Christian Church. Burial will be made in the Shaul Cemetery.
