Leona H. Perry, 72, of Lawrenceville died Friday, March 13, 1998, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.

Born June 28, 1925, in Prattsburg, N.Y., she was the daughter of Bert E. and Hazel Knowles Allen. She was retired from Dresser-Rand where she was an inspector.

She was a member, of Wellsboro Moose Lodge, Knoxville VFW, Campbell American Legion and Corning Adult Fellowship.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Frederick E. Perry, in 1985; one son, William M Perry, in 1991; and three sisters, Sadie Johnson, Margaret Symonds and Blanche Stephens.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Betty Perry of Woodhull, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Leroy Staples of Lehighton and Janice and Ronald House of
Rochester, N.Y.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; personal friend, Arthur Seymour of Elmira, N.Y.; two brothers, Robert Allen and Frank Allen; seven sisters, Bertha Brugger, Thelma Metz, Eloise Lester, Mary Short, Wanda Fuller, Brenda Orr and Linda Allen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours were held Monday, March 16; at the Kenyon Funeral Home; Elktaitd. Services were held there Tuesday, March 17, with the Rev. Harry Dow officiating. Burial was made at Brookfield Cemetery, Brookfield Township.
