He died at his home, 1114 N. Monroe St., at 6 a.m. Saturday following a long illness.
A native of Tallahassee, he was born September 25, 1929.
He was a graduate of Florida State University. Following his graduation he and his wife, the former Ernestine Hunt, lived in Vero Beach. He was a supervisor for the Florida State Parole Commission.
While attending FSU, he played varsity football, was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega social fraternity, Gold Key and Omicron Delta Kappa honorary scholastic societies. During this time he served as clerk of the small claims court.
At the time of his death he was a member of the First Methodist Church of Vero Beach and with his wife led the MYF there.
He served at General Douglas MacArthur's headquarters in Tokyo during the Japanese occupation.
He was a member of the American Legion, Junior Chamber of Commerce and an officer in the Air Force Reserve.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. W. C. Tully; and four sisters, Mrs. J. B. Epstein, Mrs. T. P. McGinty, Miss Elizabeth Tully, and Mrs. E. J. Hughes, all of Tallahassee; three brothers, Leon C. Tully and James E. Tully of Tallahassee, and William Jack Tully of Whiteville, N. C.; and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Tinney, Ed Seagram, Archer Gilliam, Louie Sutton, Kent Strauss and Don Symon.
Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
