Jonathan was known by other names, such as John, Fremont, and Frank, and he was the Sixth child of John and Amanda (Webb) Holloway. and the Grandson of Willam and Mary (Pitman) Webb of Ohio. He was one of 12 Children. Jonathan was a Miller, like his father in his early life. On Dec./15/1878, Jonathan Married Viola J. Glenn in Hamilton County Indiana, this Marriage lasted only a few years, and they had no children together. On July /1/ 1884, Jonathan Married Grace Maude Holliday, and together they had Seven Children, they were, Daisy May Holloway, who died in infantcy, Mary Cleona Holloway, who died in infantcy, Harry F. Holloway, Earle E. Holloway, Lola Effie Holloway (Griffin), Mable C. Holloway (Reynolds), and Frank Holloway, who lived only a few days. Jonathan was the owner and operator of a General Store and Photograph Studio for 31 years in Deming, Hamilton County Indiana. Jonathan and Grace left Deming after the death of there first two children, about 1889 to start his career as a Photographer in Indianapolis Indiana, after Harry F. Holloway was born in Indianapolis they moved to Zionsville Indiana, and he kept up his career as a Photographer there in Zionsville where his son Earle E. Holloway was born, a year or so after Earle's birth, they moved to Brownsburg Indiana where his Daughter Lola Effie Holloway was born, Jonathan was still in the Photographing business at that time. Jonathan and Grace moved back to Deming Indiana about 1896 where he lived for the rest of his life. Jonathan was the last to pass away of the original Holloway's, and it was his wife's Holliday family's that was the pall bearer's at his funeral. Jonathan was 71 years old when he died.
