Mr. Wynne was born in Holmes County and was a lifelong resident of Sidon. He was the manager of McCaleb Laundry and #7 Car Wash. Mr. Wynne was a member of the Sidon Baptist Church and was a Mason. He was also an avid hunter.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at Williams & Lord Chapel in Greenwood with Rev. Luther Lindsey officiating. Burial was in Sidon Cemetery. Mr. Wynne is survived by his wife, Gladys Rhoda Wynne of Sidon; two daughters, Peggy McCaleb of Greenwood and Charlotte Edwards of Cleveland, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Pepper Beard, Miller Beard, Tommy Lindsey, John W. "Nig" Lindsey, Buddy Hodges, and Glenn Miller. Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
