Frank emigrated to the United States at the age of 5 with his parents on the ship, Suevia. At the age of 20 he married Mary Ceplecha. They had three daughters together, Emily "Emma" Rehanek Hribal 1900-1975, Ella Rehanek Yezek 1902-1923 and Josephine "Josie" Rehanek Husak 1904-1995. Sadly, Mary died shortly after the birth of their youngest daughter.

Frank then married Emily Sidehamer. They had six children together: Kristina Rehanek 1905-1906, Lawrence A Rehanek 1906 – 1998, Leona F Rehanek 1907-1908, Viola M. Rehanek Kren 1909 – 2002, Mabel Rehanek Andrews 1910 – 1998 and Eleanor Rehanek Mitchell 1916 – 1992.

He then married Mary Pontiaewska Laciak 1885-1988. He counted her two children as his own: Stella C Laciak Rehanek Bellomo 1915 – 2010 and Edward Woodrow Rehanek Sr 1921 – 1984.

As his father before him, Frank was a coal miner.
