Born in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Elmer V. and Lillian (Wible) Mellott.
She was a homemaker.
She was the widow of Michael E.H. Bard, who passed away in July 1997. They were married on Dec. 24, 1939.
Mrs. Bard was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Needmore, for over 60 years and also a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Women.
She is survived by a son, the Rev. Donald R. (husband of Phyllis) Bard of McConnellsburg; a sister, Edna Shaw of Three Springs; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were son James L. Bard and daughter Betty Jean Bard.
Interment in Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery.
