LINDSEY THOMAS THOMPSON, SR. "TOMMY" 64 of Moreno Valley, California passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012. He was born August 21, 1947 in Washington, Pennsylvania. Lindsey was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He married Catherine Anderson of Washington, Pennsylvania, in October 1964 and settled in California in 1972 where they lived the remainder of their 48 years of marriage together. Lindsey worked at Luxfer Gas Cylinders in Riverside, CA and after 20 years of service, retired due to his illness. Lindsey was known as a hard worker and a dedicated husband and father, who also had a sense of humor. Lindsey is survived by his wife Catherine Thompson and son Lindsey Thompson, Jr. of Moreno Valley, CA; his brother Vaughn Thompson of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; two granddaughters Nicole Thompson and Shelby Thompson of Moreno Valley, CA; and daughter- in-law Julia Lowney Thompson of Moreno Valley, CA. Lindsey was preceded in death by his sons Micheal Thompson, James Thompson, his sister Nancy Thompson Kaufer, mother Mary Catherine Rush Thompson and father Ralph Thompson. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be sent to The American Lung or The American Heart Association s. Services will be a private interment; Lindsey will be laid to rest with his sons Micheal and James at Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside, California. Published in Press-Enterprise on April 5, 2012.
