Mrs. Donny* Jo Rogers
Private graveside services will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery for Mrs. Donny* Jo Rogers, 48, Topeka. She died Saturday, April 7*, 1990, at the home of a sister in Streetsboro, Ohio. She was visiting relatives in Ohio when she became ill. Cause of death was unavailable.
Mrs. Rogers was a registered respiratory therapist at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center. She was a Navy veteran.
She was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Tunnelton, W. Va., the daughter of Howard and Irene Murphy Murray. She lived in Topeka since 1965.
She was married to Robert "Gabby" Rogers in August 1972 in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Audra Rogers, Topeka; a son, Robert Rogers, Jr., Topeka; her mother, Irene Murray, Streetsboro, Ohio; four sisters, Rebecca Uphold, Kingwood, W. Va., Doris Day, Streetsboro, Ohio, Ruth Mossman, Morgantown, W. Va., and Sue Calwell, Muncie, Ind.; and four brothers, William Murray and Gary Murray, both of Bridgeman, Mich., Donald Murray, Madison, Ohio, and Paul Murray, Osceola, Ind.
Mrs. Rogers will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel.
