FORT WORTH - Estus B. "Bill" Prewitt, 81, a retired machinist for Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., died Wednesday at a Fort Worth hospital.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. today in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Military honors: Veterans of Foreign Wars District 21 Honor Guards.

Memorials: The American Heart Association.

Officiating: The Rev. Judy Stempel and the Rev. Georgeann Turlington of University Christian Church.

Mr. Prewitt was born Aug. 23, 1914, in Columbia, Miss.

He served in World War II and earned five Bronze Stars, a Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Cowtown 36th Texas Division of World War II Veterans and a former member of Golden Gate Baptist Church.

He had lived in Fort Worth since 1950.

Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Clareed Cordere Prewitt of Fort Worth; son, Michael W. Prewitt of Fort Worth; daughter, Clarissa Latimer of Fort Worth; two sisters, Edith Baldauf of Fort Worth and Vivian Stewart of Houston; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
