Artie Louise Painter, a resident of Lindsay, died in Porterville Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004. She was 77.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel in Porterville.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Frazier Valley Cemetery in Strathmore, with Rev. Roger Altermatt officiating.
Mrs. Painter was a native of Oklahoma, and a resident of Lindsay for 60 years. She worked as a homemaker, and was a member of Sonlight Christian Fellowship Church in Lindsay.
She is survived by her husband, Otis Painter of Lindsay; five sons, David Painter of Strathmore, John Painter of Exeter, Clyde Painter of Susanville, Richard Painter of Atascadero and Joe Painter of Holdenville, Okla.; one daughter, Patricia Anderson of Lindsay; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Joe, Williard, Hugh, Kenneth, and Jim Swanson; and one sister, Tommie Marie White.
