William Lynch was born at Dayton, Ohio, 53 years ago, and died at Fort Gibson, Jan. 17, 1916. He was a soldier in the 10th U.S. Cavalry about 10 years and lived in Fort Gibson about 28 years, having married Mrs. [Helen] Ellen Goldsby, mother of Cherokee Bill, the noted bandit, who survives him. He had many friends and his funeral was largely attended, there being a number of whites present.
