WINSTON-SALEM - Dorothy E. Dyson July 7, 1924 - March 26, 2012 Mrs. Dorothy E. Dyson, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at The Oaks at Forsyth. She was born July 7, 1924 in Loris, SC to D.T. and Edna Cox Elliott. Mrs. Dyson was a member of Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, president of the Women's Fellowship, diener and sacristan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh T. Dyson, and a daughter, Patti Dyson. Surviving are one daughter, Debbie Stilley and husband Gary; two grandchildren, Amy Copley and husband Jodie, Eric Stilley and wife April; three grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Copley and Joe Chavelier. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at Salem Moravian Graveyard with the Rev. Cheryl G. Cottingham officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
