Beverly E. Bathgate, 82, of Mechanicsburg, died Thursday, May 31, 2001 at the skilled nursing unit of Seidle Memorial Hospital. Mechanicsburg.
Born August 14, 1918 in Vermont, she was the daughter oft the late Earl Johnson and Bernice Amick. On July 24 1937, she married Earl R. Bathgate who died February 5, 1990.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant. She enjoyed collecting stuffed bears doing crossword puzzles and embroidering.
She was survived by five sons, Jay R. of Howard, James W. of Bellefonte, Jeffrey L. of Mechanicsburg, Jon A. of Liverpool, and Jan E. in Pennsylvania; two sisters, Doris Hotter of Howard and Betty Motter of Lock Haven; two brothers Harold Amick of Palmyra and Robert Amick of Bloomsburg; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held at the W. Robot Neff Funeral Home 837 Main Street, Howard, with the Reverend Robert Stone officiating.
Burial was in Schencks Cemetery, Howard.
