Charles (Gus) Wagner
Dies at Local Hospital

Charles (Gus) Wagner, 72 retired baker who formerly resided on Van Ave., died at Major Hospital at 7:30 this morning. He had been residing for some time at the home of a son, Richard, at 335 N Morgan St., Rushville.


Mr. Wagner was the son of John and Mary (Paul) Wagner and was a native of Lincoln, Neb. Surviving with the son is a daughter, Mrs Jeannette Saxon of Miami, Fla. He was married January 28, 1914 to Eunice Long.

Mr. Wagner was a member of the St. Joseph Church in this city and the Knights of Columbus Lodge.

Funeral services, in charge of the Sleeth Funeral Home, will be at the St. Joseph Church Monday at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Bernard Burgert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Sunday and are requested to omit flowers.
