Funeral services for Lowell C. (Pat) Lewis, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 27, were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Richfield with the Rev. Mr. Bingea officating. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Robert Morelan and Glenn Nauman of Northfield. Pallbearers were fellow employes of the Minnesota State Highway Department and included: Robert Edwards, Maurice Hastings, Franklin Geer, Charles Clabots, Marvin Guessford and Elmer Morris. Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Madelia, Minn. Mr. Lewis, who was born at Staples, Minn., came with his family to Faribault where he spent his youth. After his graduation from Faribault High School, he began work with the Rice County Highway Department. For the past 33 years, he has been employed as a technician in the state office of the Minnesota Highway Department in St. Paul. The deceased was a member of the Masonic Lodge 311 and Crocus Chapter of Eastern star. Mr. Lewis is survived by his widow, the former Gladys Caswell of Madelia; a daughter, Mrs. Loren Halstead (Shirley) of Kansas City; a son, Richard, of Richfield; three grandchildren; a brother, Donald, of Faribault and a sister, Mrs. T. G. O'Connor (Dorothy) of Renville.

Note: Lowell was first married in 1922 to Clara C. St Martin. She later married Harley Davis. Lowell remarried Bertha Gladys Caswell in 1946.
