Information on son Thomas Ryan, born about 1853 in Ireland is still missing. The last record found is the 1870 US Census where Thomas is a coal miner living with adopted father and biological mother, Patrick and Anna (Stapleton) Ryan Malone, and his siblings and half-siblings.

On the 1900 US Federal Census, Anna said she had 10 children and seven were living. Those seven children were listed in a Latrobe Bulletin article following her death, so that would mean Thomas and the two other children died before 1900.
