Joseph Bayerl Of
Milladore Is
Killed In Action
Milladore, Wis.—S/Sgt. Joseph P.
Bayerl, who was previously reported
missing has now been reported killed
in action on July 10 according to a
war department telegram received
July 22 by his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Bayerl of Milladore. He had
been serving in the New Guinea
area.
S/Sgt. Bayerl enlisted in the Na-
tional Guard at Marshfield and left
for training in Louisiana in October
of 1940. He spent his last furlough
at home on Thanksgiving day, 1941.
In addition to his parents, he
leaves five sisters, Sister M. Mil-
trandis of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs.
Joseph J. Kundinger of Auburndale,
Mrs. Mark Fuehrer, Junction City,
Margaret of Marshfield, and Caro-
line at home; two brothers, Hubert
of Arpin, and Leo of Milladore.
Military requiem services will be
held Saturday, July 29 at nine o'-
clock at St. Kilian's Catholic church
at Blenker, the Rev. Leonard C.
Stieber officiating.
