Clara Bowler Turner, 85, of West Bountiful died July 24, 1993 after a long illness.
She was born September 18, 1907 in Turner, Idaho to Clarinda Cutler and Isaac Bowler. She was sealed to Orval Bennett Turner for time and eternity in the Logan LDS Temple on December 23, 1925. Orval preceded her in death.
She retired from Hill Field Air Force Base, was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and a member of the Second Ward LDS Church of West Bountiful. She enjoyed quilting, bowling, crocheting and she also served a mission doing name refraction for the LDS Church.
She is survived by her sister, Jana B. Courtright; nine children: four sons and five daughters, Newell O. Turner (wife Shirleen) of Pocatello, Idaho; Leon B. Turner of West Bountiful; Max B. Turner of North Salt Lake; Valton O. Turner of Turner, Idaho; Arvilla Turner of West Bountiful; Nedra Allen of Lakewood, Colo.; Afton Phillips, West Valley; Irene Harris (husband Ron) of West Bountiful; Veda K. Anthis of Benton City, Wash.; also 33 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving, caring and wise mother and grandmother and endeared by her family. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 28, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Wednesday at Lindquist Mortuary. Interment, Bountiful Cemetery following the service.
