Miss Mary Louise Walker, 87, 318 East Elm Street, Rockmart, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at her residence. Miss Walker was born May 2, 1917 in Henry County, Georgia, daugher of the late Jemina Cannon Walker and the late Joseph L. Walker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart and prior to retirement was employed with the Wright & Lopez Construction Company as well as owned and operated Bonner's Arts and Crafts of Rockmart. She was preceded in death by three sister, Miss Mildred Walker, Miss Tallulah Walker and an infant sister, Lillian Walker; two brothers, Mr. Thomas Walker and Mr. Bergan Walker. Miss Walker is survived by a sister, Miss Constance "Connie" Walker of Rockmart and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Inez Walker also of Rockmart. Funeral service for Miss Walker was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31 in the Chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Camp officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of the Rose Hill Cemetery. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral service. (The Rockmart Journal, Feb. 9, 2005)
