Jeanette Barnes, 73, of Beaumont, Texas, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.
She was born February 13, 1939, to Bernice Smith and Hickman B. Barron in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Barbara Crowell and her husband, Curtis of Lumberton, Brenda Barnes of Lumberton, Melody Wells and her husband, Robert of China, Misty Barnes and Velvet Kaspar, both of Beaumont; nephews, Rick Stabile and his wife, Kim of Arkansas and Nick Stable and his wife, Cheryl of Beaumont; grandchildren, Angela Robbins, Lauren Akins, Joseph Arpin, Amy Huff, Anne Etie, Jake Kaspar, Kara Kaspar, Calla Wells, Lindsey Wells and Taylor Wells; great-grandchildren, Tori Akins, Mason Robbins, Trace Robbins, Logan Huff, Riley Huff, Madison Huff, Nolan Etie, Jaxson Etie, Naomi Arpin, Isabella Arpin and Alton James (A.J.) Stagg; and many other family members and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Benny Barnes; grandson, Ben Stagg; and lifelong friend, Kathy Barnes.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 West Highway 90, China, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's.
