Earl Abernathy Kerr, 81, died unexpectedly at 5:30 AM Sunday [Aug. 7, 1977] in his Lafayette home. Born at Cates, he had lived in Lafayette since 1936. In 1913, he was married at Veedersburg, to Martha Zelda Clark, who survives. Mr. Kerr, a retired construction worker, was a member of Evangelical Mennonite Church.

Surviving with his widow are four daughters, Miss Bertha V. Kerr of Virginia Beach, VA, Mrs. Mary Rudisail of Lafayette, Martha (Mrs. Donald) Moyer of Melbourne, FL, and Nadine (Mrs. John) Sanford of Wolcott; three sons, John Kerr, Kenneth Kerr, both of Lafayette, and Jack Kerr of Aurora, CO; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence and Norman Kerr.
