Marion - Mr. Robert Gause, 61, widower of Bertha Tyler Gause, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at his home after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, March 23 at Open Door Independent Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Couch and Rev. Scott Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
Mr. Gause was born May 7, 1945 in Horry County, a son of the late Leon and Mary Vereen Gause. He was a mechanic and a member of Open Door Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Gause are: 2 Sons: John Franklin Gause and his wife Kimberly of Mullins and Curtis Lee Gause of Marion; 3 Grandchildren: Nathan Gause, Ragan Gause and Madelyn Gause; 4 Sisters: Mildred Lane of Conway, Estaleen Allen of Mullins, Christine McLellan and her husband Wendell of Knoxsville, Maryland and Louise Hardee and her husband Dennis of Mullins; and a Brother: Jimmy Gause and his wife Sandra of Florence.
Mr. Gause was predeceased by a brother, Lavon Gause.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 til 9 P.M. at Open Door Independent Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the John Robert Gause Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 613, Mullins, S.C. 29574.
