Emelean E. Gabour 95,of Texarkana, Texas died Saturday May 22,2004 at her home. Mrs. Gabour was born August 16,1908 in Texarkana. She was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of American Court Marie 344, Sacred Heart Women's Society, St. Michael Hospital Auxiliary, Woodmen of the World, NARFE and a knitting instructor at Ben F. Smith. Survivors include one sister,Chris Gabour of Texarkana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, M.J. and Billie Gabour of Texarkana;and James Sr. and Ruth Gabour of Alexandria, LA; three special friends, Marie Jenkins, Melba Sharp, and Kathy Nelson; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Gerald Priest officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.
