Richard was born in Germany to Martin and Adelaide. He immigrated to the United States with them and his brother George in 1871. They traveled on the SS Baltimore from Breman, Germany to Locust Point in Baltimore. He was the beloved husband of Mazie. Devoted father to John Henry, Richard Joseph, and Infant Morgenweck. Grandfather of Harvey, John, Mary, Mary Regina and Richard. Brother of George, John Henry, Bertha, and Mary Catherine.
