MRS. MARY E. HARTMAN BURKETT, 79, of 220 W. Franklin St., died Monday evening at her home after a lengthy illness. Born in Antrim Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Ida Snyder Hartman.
She was a member, of the Four Square Gospel Church in Greencastle. She had been employed by Baer Brothers Food Processing prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Allen H. Burkett; one daughter, Mrs. Robert H. Stoner of Shady Grove, Pa.; two sons, Wilbur Hartman of Marion, Pa., and Charles Barnhart of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Castle of Rt.3, Greencastle and Mrs. Aaron Harshman of Rt.4, Greencastle; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m. from the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home in Greencastle. The Rev. Glen E. Hartman and the Rev. Elsie M. Shryock will officiate. Burial will be in Browns Mill Cemetery at Kauffman Station, Pa. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9.
